Cooperative Alonso de Alvarado (CAPAA) was created on September 14th, 2013, to improve the living conditions of its associates by developing a healthy, profitable, and quality coffee. Ensuring sustainable production for all those involved in the supply chain. Since founding, the cooperative has grown to encompass 253 properties, favouring a slight majority (133 to 120) of female owned and run farms.
The Cooperative has been led by the sons and daughters of producers and young professionals dedicated to the research and production of speciality coffees. They have focussed on constant innovation and production practices that do not pollute or adversely affect the environment. Work has begun to regenerate over exploited soils too, returning them to health.
This coffee is a great all rounder and can be drank black or with milk.
